It has always been our intention to provide an online shopping experience, to match the experience that our customers are used to in-store. We believe this website will exceed the high standards our customers have
come to expect from Fultons.
It has been an arduous task, but the folks at Rumble Labs have proved their worth in guiding us through the design, build and integration of our new website over the past few months. The integration with our central product database will ensure online shoppers have access to the same, vast range of products as they would in one of our shops.
Gathering enough information to put each product online is going to take some time. Therefore the online product range will start small, but will soon grow into thousands of products.
One of the main challenges in putting all of our products up for sale online is shipping. Due to the fragility of a lot of our products we have had to find a suitable solution for carriage, both within the UK and Ireland and beyond. This had to be a hybrid solution and is yet to be fully implemented. We expect to have full shipping solutions in place in January. Currently, purchases can be made online and customers can choose from one of our three stores to collect from. Customers can also call to arrange special delivery if necessary.
If you register as a user on our website you have the option to join our mailing list. This is not a frequent mailer, but we will mail the list periodically with details of special offers, sales and upcoming events. There may also be exclusive special offers for mailing list members only, so register now!
This quarter we will be adding a wedding list system to the website. Soon-to-be newlyweds can create a wedding gift list, add selected products from our online store and invite their friends and family to select from their list and purchase their wedding gifts online.
Our Gift Vouchers have always been very popular. These are now available to buy online of course but currently can only be redeemed in-store. Customers will soon be able to redeem these vouchers against products in our online store.
We recently held our exclusive annual gift evenings in our Belfast shop. We had around 300 people attend altogether, proving to be a great success. We plan to hold more of these events throughout next year, and will soon provide a way for people to find out about and register for our events online.
